Fridge Finally Fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After arriving at Echuca we were able to organise the fridge to be repaired. We get to keep the inside casing and door of the existing fridge freezer and the whole motor and compressor etc, is replaced with a brand new one as no reconditioned ones were available and we had to wait 3 days for that to arrive. We dropped the van off thursday morning and they removed the fridge and we got it back in the afternoon, so to kill time we did some shopping and then went to the riverfront opposite the wharf and set up our table and chairs, solar panles to run the fridge, lunch and stool and cameras and there we spent most of the afternoon eating reading and watching the paddlesteamers. What a perfect afternoon it was. We picked up the van minus the fridge and went back to our camp spot for the night where we met some very nice people in a motorhome from Queensland.
Friday morning we returned the caravan and they refitted the fridge but we didn't get the van back until nearly 5pm so we went back to our campground got the same site as the previous night and had happy hour with the Queensland motorhomers. Our hot water service now worked, our fridge worked, we replaced the jockey wheel which we found the shaft was bent, no wonder it was so hard to wind up and we bought the curved roof rafters for the outside awning.
Saturday morning after a delightful HOT shower in our own van we left and after doing some fridge shopping headed on our way to Tocumwal in lower NSW again on the murray. At first it didnt look much of a town and the lady in the Information Office was bloody useless and gave us wrong directions and didn't seem to know what bloody day it was, we found the town much bigger than we expected and some absolutely beautiful homes. We checked into a caravan park - Boomerang- as the Big 4 park was $38 a night we got this one for $26 and it is very nice, modern and extremely well cared for and plenty of amenities.
We fitted our flat screen tv/dvd for travelling with some straps so we no longer needed its box and original packing, fitted the awning bars, stocked up on water and after a beautiful roast beef dinner with roast vegetables done in our oven and a walk around the park we fell into bed at about 9pm. Tomorrow we head further along the river towards Yarrawonga.
So after 5 days in Echuca and $1400 later we are back on the road again.
