Now At Nyah - Victoria

We arrived at Nyah Tuesday afternoon and were going to go straight to Nyah Forest as we love it there but decided to look at a spot behind the Nyah Harness Club on the river. Very shady, good river location and you can walk into town so we have decided to stay there. Turned out to be a good choice !
The trots were on last night and whilst we could hear them and see a bit the noise level was very low. First race at 6.30 and last race at 9.30pm. The lighting from the track lit up the area too, certainly wouldn't stop us from staying here again.
This morning we found we are almost in the shade the whole time so this spot is great particularly when the forecast here for the next few days is in the low 30's.
Our power seems to be working out well, we have plenty, the solar system is working well and the inverter is doing its job. We are now able to use whatever appliance we want when we want without worrying about how much power is left. It was a lot of work putting in the 12 volt system, solar panels and the inverter but it was definitely worth it. The freezer is running on 240 volt all the time while the fridge runs on gas. We have 12 volt and 240 lights, everything is going great.
We had a visitor earlier, we thought he may have been here to tell us to move on or that we are too far away from the main camping area but he came simply to say "welcome to Nyah". Nice old bloke, very friendly, only stayed about 10 minutes but it was a nice gesture.
Hows the view from under our awning and from the bedroom window ! Sorry about the feet being in the picture, I was too lazy to get up when I took it. Waking to that view this morning was great. The balance of today is rest day as we travelled yesterday so tomorrow we will go for a drive and look around a bit.
