Berry In The South - What a great place

Our stay here was just wonderful, the amenities pretty darn good, the outlook great and a central location.
We day tripped to Wollongong, Kiama and surrounding areas. Berry is a very surprising little town that is immaculately kept, lovely homes and a very busy and quaint main street.
A must do was the Illawarra Treetop Walk so of we went. Misread a sign and went to Minumurra Rain Forest by mistake. Amazing walk in there, about 1.5klms long on boardwalks through a spectacular rainforest all for $11 per car. Well worth going to and would revisit again.
On the way out we spotted a sign to the Illawarra Treetop Walk so went to investigate. After a very slow drive up the mountain we finally got there and found it was $24 per adult and decided to go the next day.
The next day the morning was very over cast so we went to do the coast road trip above Wollongong where the road is on a bridge stuck out from the cliff over the sea. The actual bridge is only about 2klms long and its quite a sight to see let alone drive on it both ways.
On the way home we went to Illawarra Treetop Walk, paid their exhorbident fees and did the walk. You walk on a pedestrian bridge right up in the tree tops across the face of the mountain. It takes about 45 minutes to do. We left disappointed as it wasnt as good as the rain forest walk.
Kiama and the coastal towns were very quaint, real holiday villages and destinations with each having several caravan parks some with up to 650 sites so you can imagine just how big they were.
The coastal area really is an amzing place.
On the sunday there was a historic car show on at the showgrounds so with staying there we got to go and didnt have to pay. Brought back a lot of memories with some of the falcons and toranas there and all the vintage cars.
We christened our Ozpig and smoked the park out and after several times we got the hang of it and it ran much better but it was a talking point of interest for everyone who saw them. The guy opposite came over to inspect and one thing led to another and we found he owned Nowra Canvas so we got out our annexe as we still hadn't put it up. After that we booked the van into his business to have the annexe fixed, altered and have an additional flywire wall made. He did a good job at a reasonable price and we have had the annexe up since and its great with the extra space. After spending the day in Nowra which is huge, very nice, very clean we returned to Berry for the night before heading further south. Berry was only 14klms from Nowra.
Our next stop was to be Milton down around Ulladulla further down the coast.
