We found the Showgrounds at Milton to be the ideal place to stop for a few days. The facilities were pretty basic and at $15/day including power you can't really complain. Except we hadn't long finished unpacking when the caretaker came along and told us that on sunday there was a garage boot sale cum trash and treasure and we had to move to a different area. Neither of us were real impressed !
Milton and Ulladulla virtually join together although both are quite different. Milton is the small country town with the busy main street and heaps of cafe's for the yuppies and Ulladulla is right on the beachfront.
We spent 3 days touring around looking and can't say that we were that impressed. Its a coastal holiday resort which obviously comes to life during xmas and easter and then dies for the rest of the year.
We did have a look at the trash & treasure sunday morning, never bought a thing. Couldn't believe that people would sell and others would buy such absolute rubbish. Still whats one mans rubbish is another pleasure.
In all its a nice coastal town but it wouldn't bother me if I never went there again.
Heading further down the coast was to be a real trial as the availability of campsites (free) is not good at all. So again we headed for a National park just above Batemans Bay.
